Plater friendly nameplates in dungeons.
In plater options go to the friendly player tab. On the left had side there is an option that is 'Only Show Player Name'. Check that box to only show the name of friendly players. I can't remember where it is located in elvui, but im guessing its general > media. This WA will show an icon for specific buffs/debuffs on the enemy nameplate. By default it will show magic, enrage and specific dungeon / m+ affix auras. Position and shown auras are customizable in the "custom options" tab of the WA. Built for dungeons, especially mythic+, but useable in raids and open world as well.
I lost my WTF folder in a reformat and am setting everything back up. I can't seem to figure how to setup friendly names in raid or dungeons to show their names with class color. If Plater doesn’t turn out to be quite what you’re looking for, KuiNameplates is a similar addon. One thing to note with any nameplate addon is that blizzard doesn’t allow addons to modify friendly nameplates inside of instances. So no matter what you do with those nameplates through addons, they won’t work inside of a dungeon or raid.It’s position here is because you have the friendly nameplate enabled on this dungeon / raid.
